The Incredible Shrinking Jewish Community of Montreal

After the separatists seized power and hijacked Anglo human rights, the Montreal Jews bailed big time. Toronto, Florida, New York and Boston. Nary an English-speaking Jewish family was left intact. Old friends fade into the horizon. Population growth - negative. The Expos packed their bags. My synagogue has become a feeder to Paperman's, the city's only Jewish funeral parlor. They're closing the Jewish day school in my neighborhood, or "merging with another campus and creating a great new school," as the spin-meisters like to say. Woke up 4AM in a cold sweat imagining myself in a Batman & Robin (the TV series) type of trap where the four walls of the sealed off room close in to crush the masked crusaders. The super heroes always somehow escape unscathed, but how do mere mortals fare?
