One way to squeeze the last drop out of a vacation is to play the "Last Week at this Time" game. Of course it fades away as fast as your tan, but helps you maintain sanity after getting your stack of held mail back. Still looking for parity between bills and checks. So last week at this time, feasting (again) at a grill house in Jerusalem, sponsored by Uncle Art. I defy any bipedal carnivore to eat better than at an Israeli grill house. Kebabs galore: beef, lamb, chicken, goose liver and even sampled chicken heart - by mistake. Thought it was sirloin, was delicious. Speaking of delicious: the exotic waitress. More gorgeous women in Israel than anywhere else. Some of the Russian women are simply not to be imagined with looks and bodies that only God could create.
And now for another juxtaposition: against this backdrop a feral cat eating scraps off a plate on an outdoor table. Let's just say that the Israelis are relaxed about clearing tables and getting some help from mangy felines. Guess it's their way of tithing tables for wildlife.
Almost over jet lag, which is a bit of a drag. Love the deep sleep and wild dreams brought on by it. Last night I had a hysterical dream where a sparrow type of bird was harassing an old Italian man, them my brother in law walks by, lifts me up by my crotch and laughs. Kind of symbolic as I find myself struggling in a deal with him going nowhere. But all I'm thinking is how'd he get the strength to lift me with one hand considering that he's physically a runt of a man. Stranger than fiction.
